Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: RN CVICU Specialty: RN CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Background in Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care Open heart recovery experience Post-cardiac procedure recovery experience Description: This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a cardiovascular unit. The unit comprises 8 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3. The patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions. Procedures include post-open heart recovery, post-cardiac procedures, surgical interventions, as well as central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements. Candidates should be familiar with Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and SWAN Ganz catheters.
