A major U.S. airline is looking for the person who runs those projects from start to finish. You'll keep every asset's documentation complete and audit-ready, coordinate the teams involved, and represent the airline with lessors and buyers. If you're the person who loves a well-run project and a perfectly organized records package, this is your seat.
About the opportunity
Our client is a major U.S. airline, and this role sits in Dallas, TX on its Fleet Transactions team. You'll manage the projects that move aircraft and engines through lease returns, sales, retirements, and acquisitions. You'll own the documentation behind each asset, making sure records are accurate, complete, and ready when lessors, buyers, auditors, or inspectors ask for them. You'll work across maintenance planning, engine planning, and leadership to keep each project on schedule. And you'll be the go-to person for the status of every leased and retiring asset in the fleet.
What you'll do
Manage lease return, aircraft sale, retirement, and acquisition projects from kickoff through completion, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders.
Own aircraft and engine documentation, making sure records are complete, organized, and audit-ready throughout each asset's life.
Identify, compile, and deliver records packages and reporting to lessors, buyers, and consignees.
Represent the airline with lessors during annual audits and physical inspections, and manage follow-up items to closure.
Represent Fleet Transactions in Airworthiness Directive, aircraft maintenance planning, and engine planning meetings, making sure work on leased and retiring assets aligns with return and disposition requirements.
Track and report the status of leased aircraft and engine assets for leadership.
Evaluate fleet decisions for their retirement and lease return requirements, and help identify the best path for each transaction.
Keep the team's asset systems accurate and current.
Monitor industry trends and market appraisals to inform leasing and disposition strategy.
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
Experience managing projects in aircraft asset management, lease transitions, technical records, or a closely related aviation role.
Strong records and documentation management skills, with real attention to detail and a habit of keeping things audit-ready.
Working knowledge of aircraft lease return conditions, maintenance records, and Airworthiness Directive compliance.
Proven ability to run multiple projects at once, manage deadlines, and keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned.
Understanding of contract principles and the commercial terms behind aircraft leases.
Confident communicator with lessors, technical teams, and senior leadership alike.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience at a lessor, MRO, lease transition provider, or aircraft records management firm.
Exposure to aircraft or engine maintenance planning.
Familiarity with market appraisals and aircraft valuations
Interested?
If you're the person who keeps complex projects on track and every record in its place, and you want to do that for a major airline, we'd love to talk.
