Location: Doral, FL

Salary Range: $130,000 - $138,000

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required; must be eligible for TS/SCI

Sandy Mac Evolution, in support of Telecommunication Solutions Group and ManTech, is seeking a qualified Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise-level VDI engineering, modernization, optimization, and lifecycle management efforts in Doral, Florida.

The selected candidate will provide technical expertise for mission-critical Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments supporting Department of Defense operations. This role requires hands-on experience with VMware Horizon, ESXi, vCenter, gold image management, patching, automation, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise VDI support within secure environments.

Position Responsibilities

The Senior VDI Engineer will support the design, administration, sustainment, and optimization of enterprise VDI systems. Responsibilities include:
•Administering, engineering, and maintaining VMware Horizon VDI environments
•Supporting ESXi and vCenter infrastructure within enterprise virtualized environments
•Managing VDI gold images, image updates, patching, and lifecycle maintenance
•Supporting Dynamic Environment Manager configuration and administration
•Managing App Volumes and Instant Clone Pools
•Supporting FSLogix profiles for Microsoft Office 365 environments
•Performing system optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for VDI platforms
•Supporting modernization and lifecycle management activities for enterprise VDI services
•Assisting with cybersecurity compliance, RMF requirements, STIG implementation, and security best practices
•Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency
•Supporting documentation, standard operating procedures, technical diagrams, and configuration records
•Collaborating with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to ensure stable and secure VDI operations
•Supporting critical DoD mission environments requiring high availability, security, and operational reliability

Requirements
Required Qualifications
•Active Secret Clearance required
•Must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information access
•Senior-level experience supporting enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments
•Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon administration and engineering
•Experience with ESXi and vCenter environments
•Experience managing VDI gold images, patching, and system updates
•Experience with VMware Dynamic Environment Manager
•Experience with App Volumes and Instant Clone Pools
•Experience supporting FSLogix for Microsoft Office 365
•Knowledge of RMF, STIG compliance, cybersecurity best practices, and secure DoD system operations
•Experience using PowerShell for scripting, automation, and administrative tasks
•Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
•Ability to work in a secure, mission-focused DoD environment

Preferred Qualifications
•Previous experience supporting a DoD Combatant Command environment
•Experience supporting large-scale enterprise VDI modernization or optimization efforts
•Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity processes, configuration baselines, and secure system administration
•Experience working with cross-functional technical teams in classified or mission-critical environments
