Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ Years of RRT Experience Required License: Active Michigan License Required Certifications: - Active American Heart Association BLS - Active American Heart Association ACLS - Active American Heart Association PALS - Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - Active RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Must-Have: - Work History - Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Respiratory Therapy) - 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years Description: This position independently or in consultation with a physician administers medications. Performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system. Responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems. Performs respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations. Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers. Responds to all Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations immediately. Maintains artificial airways, and performs respiration and cardiac compressions. Sets up and maintains all oxygen according to protocol.
