Job Summary: Seeking a Materials Analyst 1 to support material planning, inventory management, and supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with materials planning, inventory analysis, ERP/MRP systems, demand forecasting, and data reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze material requirements and support planning activities based on production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, material availability, shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks.
• Track inventory KPIs and prepare reports to improve inventory accuracy and reduce excess/obsolete materials.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Operations, Warehouse, and Suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
• Review material transactions and inventory movements to maintain accurate data and support production operations.
• Support cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with purchase orders, material changes, demand fluctuations, and forecast requirements.
• Analyze excess and obsolete inventory and support appropriate disposition strategies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material planning, inventory control, and supply chain processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 2 5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• Strong experience in Inventory Management, Materials Planning, and Supply Chain Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting, material requirements planning, and inventory analysis.
• Experience analyzing material shortages, supply risks, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory management.
• Purchase order and material change management.
• Supplier coordination and delivery tracking.
• Inventory discrepancy investigation and reconciliation.
• Production planning and KPI reporting.
• Advanced Excel / Power BI.
• SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
