Nursery/Childcare WorkerTitle: Nursery/Childcare WorkerSupervisor: Nursery SupervisorClassification: Non-exemptThis is a great opportunity for Part-Time work: Wednesday, Thursday, SundayDescription: A Nursery/Childcare Worker is responsible for overseeing the needs, care and safety of children within their careRequirements:Should enjoy children and desire for them to know of God’s love and concern for their livesShows a warm and welcoming attitudeAble to be flexible and creatively problem solve in complex situationsAble to work quickly and responsibly in an ever-changing environmentAble to keep confidential information that is private and personal in natureSuccessfully pass Live Scan criminal background check prior to hireCPR/First Aid certifiedObtain certificate of negative result for TB screening prior to hireResponsibilities:Care for the safety and spiritual, physical and mental well-being of the childrenCheerfully greet/dismiss children and parents at check-in and check-outLead assigned daily activities with childrenCommunicate effectively and respectfully, both orally and in writing, with parents and coworkersCare for, sanitize and return all equipment to its proper placeReport any necessary repairs to Nursery Coordinator and/or Children’s Ministry DirectorRead the Nursery handbook in its entirety and have a working knowledge of its contentsPage parents, as needed, in a timely mannerOther Expectations:Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the Nursery teamKeep phone and email communications responsivePossess a positive, fun and outgoing attitude with childrenWork well with others (be a team player)Act quickly and exercise independent, mature judgmentBe faithful in attendance, arriving at or before the time scheduled by the SupervisorParticipate in at least two pre-arranged meetings every 12 monthsWillingness to be flexible with work schedule when necessary, including working Sundays and some holidays such as, but not limited to Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve, etc. as well as various special events such as, but not limited to VBS, Rancho Family Christmas, Patriotic Program, etc.Perform all other duties as assignedSpiritual Qualifications:A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which is modeled for the children, parents and other staffSeeks to grow in that relationship with ChristPhysical Expectations:Definitions:N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this positionO (Occasionally) Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 to 3 hrs/day)F (Frequently) Occupation requires this activity from 33%-66% of the time (3+ to 6 hrs/day)C (Constantly) Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (6+ to 8 hrs/day) #J-18808-Ljbffr Rancho Christian School/Rancho Church
