Carpenter / Service Technician

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Shift Perks: 1-hour lunch break plus two additional 15-minute breaks each day

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Carpenter / Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, multi-functional position responsible for preparing, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading mobile office trailers and related units. The ideal candidate will have experience with general carpentry and maintenance work and be comfortable using hand and power tools throughout the workday.

No single trade experience is required. We are looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in areas such as carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, ceiling tiles, light electrical work, pressure washing, and general repair work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mobile office trailers and identify repair needs
• Perform carpentry, framing, and finish work
• Repair and install drywall and ceiling tiles
• Replace flooring and complete minor flooring repairs
• Paint interiors and exteriors as needed
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and fixture replacements
• Change light fixtures, outlets, switches, and other basic electrical components
• Pressure wash trailers and outdoor equipment
• Read and follow floor plans, work orders, and customer specifications
• Prepare trailers for delivery by ensuring they are clean, safe, and functional
• Load and unload furniture, materials, and equipment
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform general yard maintenance and keep work areas organized
• Accurately measure and cut materials using a tape measure
• Maintain a safety-first mindset while completing all tasks

Requirements

• Experience with carpentry or general construction/maintenance work
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools daily
• Ability to follow directions, work orders, and floor plans
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds throughout the day
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with drywall repair and installation
• Experience replacing ceiling tiles
• Experience with painting and pressure washing
• Familiarity with basic plumbing repairs
• Familiarity with basic electrical work, including light fixtures and outlets
• Construction, framing, welding, or maintenance experience

Work Environment

This position is based primarily in a non-climate-controlled yard environment working on mobile office trailers and related units. Employees regularly work outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions. Steel-toed boots that cover the ankle are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midway, FL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
