In this important role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient environment throughout the hotel’s kitchen and food service areas.The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and understands that cleanliness and organization are essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience. From washing and properly storing dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils to keeping kitchen workspaces clean and sanitary, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operation of our culinary team.As part of the “Heart of the House,” Stewards provide essential behind-the-scenes support that allows our culinary and food service teams to focus on creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your attention to detail, willingness to work as part of a team, and commitment to high standards will make a meaningful difference every day.What are we looking for?Your Role:You will have the opportunity to interact with team members and create a positive and upbeat work environmentYou will maintain a daily sanitation log for both dish machine and manual pot wash sinkYou will ensure the work areas are left ready and communicate any items that are not readyYou will lead our Green initiatives by properly recycling all cardboard using the compactorYou will also be energy conscious and turn off lights when not in use keeps water faucets turned off and reports any leaks to a supervisorYou will be a key player in safety by paying close attention to specific high traffic areas to avoid accidents, slips, trips, and fallsYou will use proper dish and glass racks to ensure proper cleaning and avoid chips, cracks, or breakage of small waresYou will use your time wisely and proactively clean and sanitize all equipment in slow times to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environmentYou will have the opportunity to learn different tasks within the kitchen and develop new skillsYou will be part of a team and be able to assist in other areas when business levels dictateYou will provide a genuine level of engagement with all guests and fellow crew members with a sincere smileSomeone who has an engaging and pleasant personality who likes to meet new peopleSomeone who knows how to use their time wisely to accomplish tasksSomeone with the ability to work on feet for an extended periodSomeone who can communicate effectivelySomeone who has the ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.Someone who is comfortable to lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.Compensation:$15.00-$15.00Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
