Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Production Operator to work on-site with our client, a top-tier sustainable food production company. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.


Responsibilities:


Health & Safety Compliance

• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating practices.
• Perform safety checks on equipment to ensure safe operating conditions and escalate any issues as needed.

Quality Assurance

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and internal quality standards.
• Conduct quality checks on equipment and products to ensure specifications are met, escalating deviations as necessary.

Equipment Operation

• Perform machine setups, including assembly, calibration, and adjustments.
• Operate, control, and adjust machine functions and settings.
• Troubleshoot minor machine stoppages and escalate complex issues.
• Load materials and palletize finished goods.
• Ensure regular preventative maintenance procedures are completed.
• Perform minor sanitation operations as required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record production data, including intermediate and final product information, using an MRP system.
• Maintain activity logs and attach identification labels to finished items.
• Ensure accurate counts of finished goods to match initial orders.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate equipment status and escalate issues as needed.
• Update and write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sanitation procedures (SSOPs).
• Coordinate materials and personnel during shifts to maximize uptime.
• Lead team meetings in the absence of a supervisor.
• Ensure all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and production reports are completed on time and in full (OTIF).

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Must possess strong proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to comprehend written instructions, draft clear documentation, and engage in verbal communication in English is essential for this role.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety and quality protocols.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Able to work in cold, refrigerated environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand during duration of shift.
• Able to use tools to perform repetitive actions during duration of shift.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools desirable.
• Experience in Packaging goods manufacturing, food manufacturing desirable.
