Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU Specialty

Location: Spotsylvania, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 19:00 to 07:00 - 3 shifts per week including every other weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience and a strong background in NICU care. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in therapeutic procedures related to neonatal care, including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and intubation assistance with mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in a critical setting.
• Utilize equipment such as Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1.
• Assist in intubation procedures and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience.
• NICU experience is required.
• Hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP preferred (may obtain after hire).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
