Pay Rate: $20.75 / hour

Cape Coral Hospital is seeking a customer-focused and organized Patient Care Liaisonto support our 4W Orthopedic & General Surgery team. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff while helping ensure smooth daily operations within the nursing unit.

Important Scheduling Information

This is a PRN (as-needed) position and is not eligible for benefits . Team members in this role must maintain scheduling flexibility and be available to work:

• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Some holidays
• Day shifts as needed by the department

PRN team members are scheduled based on department and patient care needs and are not guaranteed a set number of hours.

Position Summary

The Unit Support Representative serves as a liaison between patients, families, hospital staff, and physicians to promote a positive patient experience and support efficient unit operations. This position performs a variety of clerical and administrative functions while helping coordinate communication and workflow within the nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Serve as a communication hub between patients, physicians, nurses, and other departments.
• Support coordination of unit activities and patient flow.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties, including data entry, record maintenance, and communication management.
• Provide timely and accurate information to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and escalate concerns while assisting with problem resolution.
• Promote a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate service.
• Support the nursing team in delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

Education

• No high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• No previous experience required.

Licensure & Certifications

• No Florida licensure required.
• No certifications required.
