Overview The Seafood Clerk prepares fish and seafood for general purchase by cutting, cleaning, and trimming. The role emphasizes accuracy and safety in handling seafood products. Responsibilities Ensures the area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper Ensures all products are properly signed and rotated Certifies products received throughout the day Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughly Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications High School Diploma, GED equivalent required Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department is a plus Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments Bilingual in English and Spanish Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Detail oriented Read and write English/Spanish Follow instructions Comfortable using knives safely and efficiently Physical Demands and Work Conditions Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Work environment typical of an office and retail store; noise level ranges from quiet to loud Able to lift up to 50 lbs #J-18808-Ljbffr El Rancho Supermercado
