Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Registered Nurse (RN)

Salary $90,000 - $95,000 per year

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This key leadership role partners closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Serve as the facility's Infection Preventionist , developing, implementing, and monitoring the Infection Prevention and Control Program in accordance with CMS and CDC guidelines.
• Conduct infection surveillance, investigate trends, educate staff, and lead infection prevention initiatives to reduce healthcare-associated infections.
• Oversee the facility's Wound Care Program , including wound assessments, treatment recommendations, documentation, and monitoring resident progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize wound healing and improve resident outcomes.
• Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff while promoting a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, surveys, audits, and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois .
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting .
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and communication skills .

Preferred:

• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience .
• Experience in infection prevention, wound care, or quality improvement .
• Knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care standards .
