Job Title: Entry-Level Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Machine Operator to join a 1st shift production team in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and is eager to learn a skilled trade. No prior machine operating experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.

Pay: $22 - $27/hr (based on experience)

Shift: First (1st) shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Operate wood-processing and production machinery safely and efficiently after completing training.
• Read and interpret tape measurements to ensure accurate cuts and proper assembly of materials.
• Perform basic math calculations, including working with fractions, to meet measurement and production requirements.
• Inspect materials and finished products to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Assist with crate production, including assembly and packaging tasks as needed to support workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety procedures, operational guidelines, and company policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks related to machine operation and material handling.
• Support saw operating and other mechanical processes as required by production demands.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing or woodworking experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production setting is beneficial.
• in saw operating or wood-processing machinery is advantageous.
• Comfort working with mechanical systems and tools in a hands-on role.
• Ability to collaborate with a production team and communicate clearly with coworkers.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, organized manufacturing facility focused on wood-processing and crate production. Work is performed on 1st shift in a fast-paced production environment with wood-processing machinery, saws, and general manufacturing equipment. Team members follow established safety procedures and work collaboratively to meet production goals in a hands-on, mechanically oriented setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pembroke, MA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pembroke,MA.
