Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Position Information

Department: Labor and Delivery
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)

Qualifications

Required Certifications: Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP
Years of Experience: 2+
Float Requirements: Yes, to Mother/Baby

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN guidelines
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Centricity and Paragon
Supervisor: Melissa Wilson
Patient Population: Adults

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
Utilize advanced clinical skills in monitoring, assessing, and managing patients during labor.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Experience in OR circulation.
Experience in mother/baby care and triage is preferred.

Work Environment

The unit operates with a monthly volume of approximately 110 deliveries, fostering a dynamic and supportive work atmosphere.

Personality Fit

Ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility and strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Must possess a current state nursing license.
2 years of recent acute care experience is required.

Dress Code

Scrub colors should be blue and blue/green.
