Job Overview:Senior Cost AccountantThe Senior Cost Accountant at Premier PV leads cost accounting for high-volume manufacturing, managing standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliations. This role partners with Operations and IT to ensure BOM and routing accuracy, drives margin insights, and supports month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting. As a subject-matter expert, the Senior Cost Accountant leads cross-functional initiatives, mentors, peers, and provides actionable financial analysis to influence operational decisions and improve cost control.COMPANY OVERVIEW:Premier PV is a leading manufacturer of solar electrical balance of systems solutions and renewable energy products, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy technologies. Our mission is to provide innovative, efficient, and reliable products that enhance solar energy systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Partner with Operations to create and maintain standard costs and BOM/routing accuracyPrepare and analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead); investigate root causesSupport physical and cycle counts; reconcile inventory and ensure valuation accuracyPerform cost rolls and updates; maintain costing master data in ERPLead/assist monthly close for Revenue and COGS, including journal entries, allocations, and reconciliationsSupport quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for COGS and marginsEnsure integrity of internal controls in compliance with SOX and company policiesProvide ad hoc analysis and participate in cross‑functional projectsServe as SME for costing in ERP; partner with IT on configuration and testingLead cross‑functional initiatives to improve BOM/routing accuracy and scrap controlsPresent margin analysis and insights to leadership; influence operational decisionsQUALIFICATIONS:4–6 years of cost accounting experience in high‑volume manufacturingBachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Finance acceptable); CPA or CMA a plusWorking knowledge of US GAAP; strong analytical skills and business judgmentProficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Viewpoint) and Microsoft Excel/Word/OutlookExperience in manufacturing environments with standard costing preferredCompany Overview:Empowering Progress: Premier PV leads in eBOS manufacturing, prioritizing innovation and quality.
