Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Experience in oncology or surgical nursing environments.
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services.
