Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients in a fast-paced, multi-faceted department. Responsibilities include observing, collecting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating the physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
• Complete physical and mental health assessments including vital signs and withdrawal assessments.
• Administer and monitor treatment regimens and prescribed medications.
• Observe and report behavioral changes.
• Maintain control of drugs and medications.
• Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with Nursing Staff and external providers.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
• Respect cultural and religious practices of patients.
• Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure compliance and improve quality of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License.
• Completion of flu, MMR, fit test, and TB vaccinations, among others, as mandated.
