This opportunity will be to work in our AI Workforce front, which aims to automate work at iFood through the construction of AI automations, improving quality and productivity. This is done through software development and the creation of AI agents with expertise to act in complex workflows and make decisions with intelligence and security. The team relies on academic and industry standards by default, and develops proprietary solutions when this offers a distinct advantage. This team is responsible for researching and developing new ways to work with AI, creating tools and processes that aim to accelerate work at iFood. We work with cutting-edge technologies, using scientific methodologies and product design frameworks to discover new ways to work.

Your Daily Menu:

• Conduct and analyze experiments, discussing their results with a focus on implementing tested tools and processes for the entire company with efficiency.
• Research and develop tools, automations, and integrated processes with AI models for various types of work, such as data analysis, design, and software development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company to define and deliver new functionalities.
• Specify and influence technical decisions about the use of AI technologies at iFood.

Ingredients We Are Looking For:

• Ability to work quickly and handle technical and ambiguous problems.
• Experience with software engineering, distributed systems development, backend, and APIs in large-scale, secure, and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with authorization, authentication, AI security, and access control.
• Technical knowledge in AI/ML, especially LLMs.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure setup (e.g., AWS).
• Experience with Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages.
• Familiarity with using AI agents for coding and solving difficult problems efficiently (e.g., Claude Code).
• Knowledge and experience in developing software integrated with LLMs APIs (e.g., OpenAI API), such as AI agents, MCPs, RAGs, and other ML model integrations.
• Familiarity with scientific methodology, experiment design, and data analysis.

To Enhance the Flavor:

• Experience in implementing and maintaining internal tools.
• Experience with experimental technologies and their challenges of implementation at scale.
• Experience with research, conducting experiments, and technical report writing.
• Experience with AI/ML operations, such as training, deployment, and API creation.
• Experience in building efficient AI agents that extract the maximum value from each token.
