LocksmithUnder the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent functions as a working leader to coordinate the tasks, activities, supplies and equipment of locksmiths.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.Must adhere to Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.Installs, repairs, rebuilds and services mechanical, electrical or computerized locking devices.Disassembles locks and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs and other parts.Performs required and preventive maintenance on card "swipe" locks.Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination.Cuts new or duplicate keys and key cards; generates master for key cards.Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys; opens safe locks by drilling.Prepares work schedule and payroll; processes Leave requests; maintains and submits records as appropriate.Maintains records and logs of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's locks and corresponding keys for key control system.Interacts with Tribal Gaming Commission and Security department to ensure integrity of security system.Monitors and maintains inventory of cut keys, blanks and locks; generates requisitions for replenishment as necessary.Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and 1 year of casino experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.Closing:The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
