Description:
The role of the Sterile Processing Technician is to perform technical duties necessary for the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
This includes following established protocols, policies, procedures, and central sterile standards.
The technician will serve all patient populations within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail is essential for this position.
Effective communication and critical thinking skills are also important.
Basic computer skills will be utilized as part of the job duties.
The Sterile Processing Technician will complete quarterly competencies as required.
