Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. Performs electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning maintenance and other duties as assigned.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Knowledge and ability to make decisions on equipment repairs and process requisitions for parts.
• Read and understand Electrical Schematics
• Perform precise mechanical adjustments and repairs and dismantle devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Rebuild mechanical parts and equipment.
• Implement and perform preventive maintenance plan for facility and equipment
• Communicate with appropriate production personnel regarding mechanical problems and provide technical assistance as required.
• Detect and report any unusual conditions or defective equipment to supervisor
• Evaluate and make recommendations for machine improvement and upgrades.
• Understand the grounding requirements for electrical panels, panel doors, electrical covers and guards.
• Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
• Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
• Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Ability to work in both Inside and outside environments.
• Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
• Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or explosives.
• Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.
• Other duties as assigned.

What Were Looking For:

• High school education or equivalent. Industrial Maintenance Degree/Certificate preferred.
• Two years working experience in facility maintenance.
• 10+ years of mechanical and/or electrical experience maintaining industrial equipment or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to use common maintenance tools.
• PC skills/aptitude in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Internet Explorer, preferred
• Safety and OSHA awareness
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives, preferred
• Welding Skills, preferred
• Basic Fabricating Skills, preferred
• Operates Forklift and Scissor lift as required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Reliable transportation and excellent time management
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
