Diesel Mechanic – Rayne, LouisianaJob Type: Full-Time Pay: $24–$27/hour (based on experience) Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours, that's $36 - $40.50/hour Schedule:Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m. – MidnightEvery 3rd Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.50–60 hours/weekWhat You'll Be DoingYou'll keep our fleet of garbage trucks running strong by:Handling repairs, inspections, and safety checksDiagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systemsUsing vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust engine controlsReviewing and completing driver inspection reportsLogging work in fleet maintenance softwareTest-driving trucks after servicePitching in with teammates and keeping the shop cleanInteracting professionally with driversTaking on other duties as assignedWhat You Bring3+ years of diesel or heavy truck maintenance experienceProficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniquesBasic tool set (we help with a monthly allowance)Hydraulic experience is a plusASE certification is a plusClass A or B CDL is a plusWhat You Get$200/month tool allowanceAnnual boot stipendMedical, dental & vision coverage401(k) with up to 5% company matchWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
