Senior Manager, Publications

Senior Manager overseeing publications teams and execution of scientific publication plans for assigned pharmaceutical assets. Will lead cross-functional teams, manage medical writers, ensure quality alignment with strategic communications objectives, and provide managerial oversight to staff including performance assessment and talent retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead publications teams for assigned assets, driving execution of strategic publication plans across clinical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations
• Review all assigned publications to ensure quality and alignment with scientific communication platforms and organizational standards
• Oversee internal and external medical writers and vendors to ensure timely, quality deliverables within budget and compliance with publication policies
• Provide managerial oversight to direct reports including performance assessment, training, feedback, and talent retention
• Partner with Scientific Communications and Publications Directors to manage outsourcing budgets and internal resource allocation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree minimum; PhD, PharmD, or Master's degree preferred
• 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications or related pharmaceutical industry experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to form and lead cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of clinical/scientific publication structure, regulations, and best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with senior-level presentation experience
• Working knowledge of statistical concepts and ability to interpret medical data
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation tools
