Civil Process ServerLocation: Merrimack County, New Hampshire Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)Job DescriptionProVest is one of the largest legal support services firms in the nation, specializing in service of process and related services for some of the most prestigious law firms and financial institutions in the country. Each year, we handle thousands of legal documents, including foreclosures, collections, litigation, and civil complaints.We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to serve legal documents throughout Merrimack County, NH.PerksSet your own hours and work when it fits your scheduleConsistent workflowWeekly direct-deposit paymentsOpportunity to build a reputation for reliability and professionalismIdeal for individuals who enjoy being on the road and solving problems independentlyKey ResponsibilitiesUse mobile apps and web-based systems to take photos, provide detailed status updates, and generate proofs of serviceMaintain a personal computer/laptop, printer, scanner, internet access, and a smartphone (iPhone or Android)Communicate professionally and promptly with strong attention to detail to meet strict court deadlinesDemonstrate knowledge of court procedures, legal documents, and applicable local, state, and federal lawsDaily Responsibilities May IncludeServing legal documents to residences and businesses in compliance with all lawsProviding detailed attempt updates and photos via smartphone applicationsElectronically or manually signing documents and editing, printing, and submitting proofs of service through our case management softwareRequesting copies of legal documents from courts when necessaryRequirementsReliable transportation and strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patternsValid driver's licenseProof of auto insuranceAbility to meet criminal background standardsPrior process serving experience preferredWork Location: On the road
