Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs and physician direction
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and coordination of continuing services
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions with flexibility in caseload coverage, ensuring the plan of care is communicated and progressed throughout the length of stay
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing in the state of Georgia
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop clinically reasoned treatment plans
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
• Ability to complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, and timely manner in compliance with applicable guidelines and policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an inpatient or acute rehabilitation setting
• Experience participating in or supervising student clinical programs
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes
