About the Position

Unit Information: Number of beds available is 38. There are 3 main areas: Rapid, Main, and a designated safe area. Staffing includes 7 day and night RNs and 0.5 mid shift RNs. Equipment used includes Ventilators, BiPAP, EKG machines, Arterial Lines, Belmont, and Chest Tubes. EMR system in use is Meditech. Required skills for hiring include prioritizing and time management. Preferred skills include being a team player. Typical procedures performed on this unit include port placement and chest tubes. Ideal personality fit includes being patient-focused, having attention to detail, being a team player, possessing a positive attitude, and being coachable. Weekends and on-call requirements include a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays in a 4-week schedule. Additional holiday requirements include 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
