Dove Healthcare is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services across two unique post-acute care settings: a traditional skilled nursing facility and a specialized ventilator and tracheostomy care center.

Position Overview

This full-time position provides speech therapy services at:

• Dove Healthcare - Bloomer – a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center serving short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents.
• Dove Healthcare Regional Vent Center – a specialized unit providing care for residents requiring ventilator, tracheostomy, pulmonary, and complex medical management.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills while working with a diverse caseload that includes dysphagia management, cognitive-linguistic disorders, communication deficits, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems including eye-gaze technology and speech-generating devices (such as Tobii Dynavox), tracheostomy management, speaking valve assessments, and ventilator-related rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans.
• Assess and treat swallowing, communication, cognitive, and voice disorders.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapy, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education.
• Support quality outcomes and person-centered care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, dysphagia management, tracheostomy care, or ventilator populations is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
