Quality Assurance Inspector 1 Temporary Craftsworkers, Morgan Hill, CA, US 8 days ago Requisition ID: 1307 Salary Range: $21.00 To $27.00 Annually JOB SUMMARY The Quality Assurance Inspector I is primarily responsible for inspecting products at various stages of the production process and compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties personally or through associates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications. Conduct visual and measurement tests on incoming materials. Accept or reject products using tools such as calipers, thread gauge, pin gauges. Return unacceptable materials. Approve in-process production by confirming specifications. Conduct visual and measurement tests during production. Communicate required adjustments to production supervisor. Approve finished products by confirming specifications. Conduct visual and measurement tests on finished products. Return products for re-work. Confirm completion of re-work. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs. Summarize re-work and waste. Follow Soldering and Assembly workmanship standards. Comply with company standards associated with ISO 9001 and AS9100. Identify errors in existing production documentation and assist quality and engineering staff to execute corrective actions. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Comply with legal regulations. Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed. REQUIREMENTS Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education. 2+ years working in an electronics manufacturing environment. Past experience working for an ISO certified manufacturing company. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Manufacturing ERP software knowledge. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High attention to detail and willingness to identify faults in existing practices and suggest superior solutions to QA procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with assembly staff and in making presentations to supervisors. CORE COMPETENCIES Communication: Successful communication involves five components.
