We are looking for highly motivated, hard working individual to become a member of our team. We currently have an opportunity available for a Deliver Driver in our Altoona Surplus City store.
Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from Altoona store location to another.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday  –  Start time approximately 3:30 – 5:30 am.
• Home each day.
  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Delivers set route weekly between 5 locations.
• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
• Unload truck after returning from pickups and deliveries.
• Pickups from vendors occasionally occur throughout the month.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.  Do daily pre-trip and post-trip reports.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical/maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience:

• Valid Class B CDL and clean driving record required.
• Hourly Wage will depend on experience

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
