Registered Nurse - Neuro Unit (Nights)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15).
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a teamwork approach to patient care while focusing on patient safety and quality outcomes. The unit primarily caters to patients with neuro-related diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
- Take part in interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in the charge nurse role when necessary.
- Float to other units as needed, especially during staffing shortages.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
- ACLS and BLS certification are required.
- NIHSS certification is preferred.
- Experience in a neuro unit is preferred but not mandatory.
