Certified Yoga Instructor

Position Title: Yoga Instructor Reports to: Group Fitness Manager Location: Fitness Central East Address: 6170 Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37421 Fitness Central is Chattanooga’s new, premier fitness club. We are growing and we need your help. Duties & Responsibilities Deliver the Fitness Central experience to our members in each class. Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary. Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class. Report to class a minimum of 15 minutes before class to ensure the room is clean and set up properly. Begin and end each class on time. Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum. Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operation status as well as scheduling and subbing. Ensure the studio equipment is put away, sanitized and properly stored. Knowledge & Qualifications Instructors must have a current nationally recognized 200 Yoga certification. Have at least one year of teaching experience. Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification. Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and exercise modifications for all populations. Must have a strong speaking voice and be well-versed with cueing.
