Job Opportunity: General Orthopedic Surgeon

Our organization is seeking a dedicated full-time General Orthopedic Surgeon, with a focus on total joint procedures including hips, knees, shoulders, and arthroscopy. This role involves providing exceptional care to our Veteran patients.

The selected candidate may be required to deliver services in various environments, such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units (including Intensive Care and Medical/Surgical), and the Emergency Department.

• Oversee all facets of medical care, offering support to residents and mid-level practitioners in evaluating and treating patients within the Orthopedic Surgery service.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to monitor changes in both physical and mental health status of patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers within and outside of the service line, as well as with other VHA facilities or community providers, based on the veteran's care plan.
• Provide consultations within their own and other service lines as necessary.
• Engage in clinical care, contribute to graduate and undergraduate medical education, and participate in scientific research as appropriate.
• Perform surgical procedures and manage pre-operative and post-operative care for both major and minor operations, along with orthopedic consultations for inpatients and outpatients.
