This position will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered within scope, on-time, and within budget. This role is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and requires travel to our office in Asia and speaks Mandarin and reports to the Vice President, Research and Development.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Create and maintain comprehensive project documentationAssist in defining project scope and objectivesPrepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsPredict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources (internal and external to department and company) in an effective and efficient mannerDevelop and manage detailed project schedules and work plansTrack project costs to meet budgetPerform risk management to minimize project risksReport project status on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progressUtilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project executionMonitor progress and adjust as neededMeasure and report project performance to identify areas for improvementQualifications:Must be able to speak fluently in English and Mandarin to ensure timely and high quality products in China.Working experience in engineering or product development environmentAbility to manage complex projects to develop ecosystems of hardware and systemsBachelor's degree, preferably in business or a technical field5+ years of project management and related experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) or other certification strongly preferredKey Success Factors:Positive attitude, self-motivation, and tenacious follow-up and follow-through are requiredFamiliarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesExperience managing projects through the full life cycleSolid organizational skills and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills and resourcefulnessProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
