Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient PT experience to treat orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac patients.

Details

• Outpatient PT setting with some acute care coverage in the hospital as needed when outpatient scheduling allows
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends required
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac diagnoses, including post-op ortho aftercare and generalized weakness

Requirements

• State license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, spinal conditions, and total hip/knee replacement
• Experience with neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Skilled in assessment and body mechanics
• Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Prior travel experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Responsibilities include developing home exercise programs and providing patient and family education
• May assist with acute care coverage in the hospital during periods of lower outpatient volume
