Progressive Care Unit RN Opportunity

Join our team at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is looking for dedicated RNs to provide exceptional care to our cardiac and surgical patients. We offer a supportive work environment with advanced technology and a collaborative team culture.

Our PCU specializes in intermediate care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and more. We require BLS and ACLS certifications and value candidates with cardiac/telemetry and critical care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and document findings.
• Administer and titrate medications such as Dopamine, Nitro, and Precedex.
• Manage IV lines, chest tubes, and central venous catheters.
• Provide Foley management and early patient mobility.

Unit Details:

• Number of Beds: 29
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Equipment: Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry, Phillips MP2, Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Hill-Rom beds, iMobile devices, MobiLab
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, self-scheduling with balanced staffing
• Floating Policy: Travel RNs float first, rotating based on oldest float date

Our team values teamwork and positive atmosphere. We utilize iMobile devices for communication and patient charting, and recently implemented MobiLab for specimen collection. We have experienced RNs with ICU experience on both day and night shifts.
