Job Opportunity: Pediatric Intensivist
Our organization is on the lookout for Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric Intensivists to become part of our Department of Pediatrics. Alongside clinical responsibilities, selected candidates will also engage in educating medical students and Pediatric trainees, including fellows. As a member of our faculty, you will benefit from robust support from specialists and subspecialists, fostering a collaborative approach to the management of complex patient cases. An Illinois medical license is mandatory upon appointment.
About the FacilityThe Ronald McDonald Children's Hospital is a 125-bed tertiary care pediatric facility integrated within a larger hospital. It features 50 neonatal intensive care beds, 25 newborn bassinets, 14 pediatric intensive care beds, and 36 general inpatient and intermediate-care beds, serving a diverse multicultural community. Our Department of Pediatrics consists of around 90 full-time faculty members dedicated to the healthcare of children and adolescents from birth up to 21 years. Our team includes pediatric medical and surgical specialists, as well as primary care physicians from the community. Nursing care is provided by a staff recognized with Magnet status since 2008, ensuring a patient-centered environment. The residency training program includes 30 categorical pediatric residents and 16 medicine-pediatrics residents.
Compensation and BenefitsThis position comes with a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:
- Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945
- Compensation determined by academic rank and experience
