Blood Collection Staff - Customer Service

The Blood Collection Staff position involves assisting with the blood collection process including donor interaction, equipment setup, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Paid training is provided with no prior medical experience required, offering a career path within the American Red Cross. Responsibilities Utilize healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process Collaborate with team to transport and setup equipment at collection sites Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations Take time to personally connect with donors and help them understand the impact of their donation Be detail oriented to ensure blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements May drive Red Cross vehicles and work with team to setup and tear down equipment at donation sites Work variable shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays Overnight travel may be required Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles Basic computer skills are required Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred Prior leadership experience is preferred Skills Customer Service Verbal Communication Valid Driver's License Manual Dexterity Physical Stamina Basic Computer Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite Blood Collection Assistance Safety Procedures Donor Interaction Languages English #J-18808-Ljbffr Global Roles
