Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This role focuses on repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and equipment in a refrigerated production environment. You will use your strong electrical experience, including work with high voltages up to 480V, to keep equipment running safely and efficiently across multiple shift options.

Responsibilities

• Repair industrial machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems in a refrigerated environment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on equipment, including systems operating up to 480V.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential problems and address them before they cause failures.
• Use tools, test equipment, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and operations team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with high-voltage electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate records and future troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical with experience working with voltages up to 480V.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Comfort working in a cold, refrigerated environment.
• Capability to perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to work on either a Monday–Friday 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. schedule or a Sunday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

Work Environment

You will work in a cold, refrigerated facility that is bright, well lit, and equipped with new, well-maintained machinery. The environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness while supporting efficient industrial operations. Multiple shift options are available, including Monday–Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You should be comfortable wearing appropriate cold-environment attire suitable for working in a refrigerated setting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Gloucester, ME.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
