Job Description

Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer

Indianapolis, IN | 2–5 Years of Experience

We are partnering with an established MEP consulting engineering firm in the White Plains area seeking a Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer with approximately 3–5 years of U.S. consulting engineering experience .

This position will support the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, multifamily residential, hospitality, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional facilities.

Responsibilities

Design plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building types
Perform field investigations and existing-condition surveys
Complete engineering calculations, analysis, and equipment selections
Develop construction drawings and design documentation
Prepare designs using AutoCAD and Revit
Coordinate plumbing and fire protection systems with other engineering disciplines
Assist with construction administration and project-related field activities
Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Provide technical guidance and support to junior-level team members
Communicate effectively with internal project teams and other project stakeholders

Qualifications

Approximately 3–5 years of plumbing and/or fire protection design experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment
Experience with a well-rounded project portfolio such as healthcare, laboratories, commercial, residential, hospitality, or institutional facilities
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to mentor and assist entry-level engineering staff
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
CPD and/or LEED accreditation is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment

Full-time position with a primarily in-office schedule and remote Mondays.
