Staff Pharmacist | Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position with the opportunity for direct hire. This role focuses on both sterile and non-sterile compounding within a dynamic pharmacy environment. The position offers a consistent day shift schedule, providing stability and work-life balance.


Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• One-hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and perform order entry using PK software (training provided)
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications following all safety and quality standards
• Verify medication orders for accuracy and compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Provide patient counseling and medication education as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas within the pharmacy

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license is mandatory
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience required
• Experience with sterile compounding highly preferred
• Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus
• Ability to learn and efficiently use PK order entry system (training available)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
