Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to lead our domestic production operations. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the selected individual will initially be responsible for production in machining, fabrication, assembly and finishing. Over time, this position will also assume responsibility for Scheduling, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities. Immediate success will come from Lean Systems optimization and effective partnerships with all departments. Long-term achievement will require investment in people, scalable structures, systems discipline and leveraging technology.

RLWS manufactures 40,000 products used in weighing, measurement and automated process control. The Director of Operations will need to be highly organized with the ability to remain flexible to the ever-changing needs of the business. The selected person must embrace our "Take care of the customer" culture, understand our strategy, make developing people a priority, accurately measure performance, communicate frequently and effectively, and always balance the needs of employees with those of the organization.

Rice Lake Weighing Systems is located in scenic northwestern Wisconsin where many people go for vacation. There are an abundance of lakes and rivers to explore, hundreds of miles of exciting snowmobile and ATV/UTV trails, and thousands of acres of public land to enjoy. Small town or rural living with excellent schools, local shopping and dining. The city of Eau Claire is just a 45-minute drive and Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area is less than two hours.

The minimum qualifications for the Director of Operations include a relevant Bachelor's Degree, at least 10 years of industrial manufacturing experience that includes Plant Management and Lean-based continuous improvement in an ISO environment; Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred. Experience with steel converting, fabrication, welding, painting and assembly required. Excellent organization, communication, computer, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills required.
