Campus Ambassador (US)

$30 per hour

Everesteer

About Everesteer

Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.

Everesteer is an agent-native hedge fund platform. Researchers build models on our data, submit forecasts, and are rewarded on live out-of-sample performance. The platform is currently in private beta.

The role

We're recruiting a small cohort of Campus Ambassadors for the 2026/27 academic year, starting as soon as possible. You'll help students at your university discover Everesteer and get started as researchers.

This is a part-time, flexible, freelance role. Expect roughly four to six hours per week, concentrated around tournament and recruitment cycles. The appointment covers the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters, with a review at the end of the first semester.

We're prioritizing the Ivy League (Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Penn, Brown, Dartmouth), then MIT, NYU, Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, and the strongest quant and ML programmes at Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Chicago and Caltech. Students at other US universities are welcome to apply.

What you'll do

You know your campus. We'll provide brand assets, a playbook, and direct access to the team. You'll decide how to reach students who could build models and contribute forecasts on Everesteer.

Build working relationships with at least two relevant student organizations, such as quantitative finance, mathematics, computing, machine learning, or data science clubs. Department advisors and the career center may also help you reach students.

The work will include:

  • Campus events: information sessions, workshops, joint club events, and pre-tournament briefings. Attend career fairs and club events where relevant.
  • Answering students' questions about the platform and helping them through registration and their first submission.
  • Sharing materials through club channels, mailing lists, and other campus networks.
  • A weekly report on activity, interested students, registrations, and submissions. Tell us what's working and what students are asking.

You'll need to keep this going throughout the semester. We want students to use the platform and continue submitting after they've signed up.

Who we're looking for

You must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at a US university, in your second year or later, with at least one full academic year remaining. You must also be authorized to work in the United States.

You should have a background or demonstrated interest in quantitative finance, machine learning, mathematics, physics, or computer science. Experience building models or agents is a strong advantage. You'll need enough technical understanding to explain how Everesteer works and answer questions from students who know the subject.

A club board position, a teaching assistantship, or other established campus connections would help. You should be comfortable presenting to a room and contacting clubs or faculty you haven't met. We're also looking for people who are active on LinkedIn and the channels their peers use.

You'll organize your own work and follow through without regular reminders.

Compensation

Compensation is activity-based. There is no cap on your total monthly compensation.

  • Base retainer: $125 per month, conditional on one campus activation per month and a completed weekly report.
  • $6 per verified sign-up from your university. A verified sign-up is a registration with at least one scored submission on the platform.
  • $30 per active researcher for each calendar month they remain active. A referred sign-up from your university counts as active when they make at least one scored submission that month. You receive $30 for that researcher every month they meet this requirement.
  • $125 per delivered campus event with 25 or more attendees, subject to prior approval. A separate event budget is provided.
  • $650 end-of-semester bonus for ambassadors in the top quartile of the cohort.

Performance payments are tracked through your personal referral code and reconciled monthly. Payments are made in USD within 15 business days of month end. As an independent contractor, you're responsible for your own federal, state and local taxes, and we'll ask you for a completed Form W-9.

What else you'll get

You'll have platform access during private beta, ahead of general availability, and exposure to the systematic investment and quantitative research industry. We'll also provide Everesteer merchandise and a brand kit.

On successful completion, you'll receive a written reference from the team and a certificate of appointment. Ambassadors get first consideration for Everesteer internships, projects, and paid roles.

Strong performers may progress to Regional Lead Ambassador, coordinating several campuses with broader responsibilities and higher earning potential.

How to apply
