Care Coordinator – Cancer Institute The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center seeks a full‑time Care Coordinator to provide clerical support to the Cancer Institute. The role requires excellent communication, organization, and referral coordination skills. Shift Saturday: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years veterinary/human health clerical experience Minimum of 2 years customer service in a professional setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well organized with the ability to multitask Capability to interact with all levels of staff, clients, and veterinary practices Confidential handling of sensitive information in accordance with policies Key Responsibilities Primary liaison between the Cancer Institute, referral veterinarians, and internal/external clients Client check‑in and check‑out, including patient registration, admission, and discharge Easily triage incoming phone calls and determine appropriate response Schedule appointments, manage reminders, no‑show, and cancellations Collect cash and prepare payment plans in compliance with guidelines Obtain referral documentation, medical records, and pre‑registration paperwork Provide concierge service to navigate the hospital and advise clients Track patient updates and send communications to referral veterinarians and clients Provide daily status reports on inpatient pets to veterinary staff and clients Handle general information calls about routine pet care and AMC services Maintain proficiency with electronic medical records and telephone systems Perform additional duties as needed Benefits Generous sign‑on bonus Generous paid time off Tuition assistance 50% discount on veterinary care 403(b) matching Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Potential eligibility for Public Loan Service Forgiveness Program (501(c)(3) nonprofit) Salary Range $23.95 – $30.75 USD Commitment to Lifelong Learning Our team of veterinary professionals is dedicated to teaching, research, and innovation, offering mentoring and advancement opportunities.
