Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a skilled and reliable Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents in a healthcare setting. Job Overview Pay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM Days: Varying days across the week with rotating weekend shifts Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and prescribed therapeutic diets. Ensure proper portion control and appealing food presentation for residents. Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in the kitchen. Set up workstations and prepare ingredients for daily meal services. Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift. Qualifications Experience: Required experience cooking in a healthcare environment (e.g., skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospital). Knowledge: Understanding of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety regulations. Skills: Ability to read recipes, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment. Availability: Must be able to work the early morning shift (4:30 AM) and participate in the weekend rotation. Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
