Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Description: Position involves direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with various departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values of the organization. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must possess demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty. Ability to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Work environment is primarily clean and air-conditioned. Must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, and kneel or crouch minimally. Candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter. Dress code requires professional attire, with provided scrubs. Conducts activities to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the established guidelines of nursing practice. Must have clinical expertise and demonstrate accountability in patient care.
