This role involves responding promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and natural disasters with professionalism and composure. Firefighter 1 personnel perform fire suppression, rescue operations, and provide emergency medical care while adhering to safety protocols and departmental procedures. Responsibilities: - Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls promptly and efficiently. - Perform fire suppression activities including operating hoses, pumps, and other firefighting equipment. - Conduct search and rescue operations to locate and assist victims in emergency situations. - Provide basic emergency medical care and support to injured persons at the scene. - Maintain and inspect firefighting equipment and apparatus to ensure operational readiness. - Participate in ongoing training exercises to enhance firefighting, rescue, and medical skills. - Follow all safety protocols and departmental guidelines to minimize risk to self and others. - Engage in public education and fire prevention activities within the community.
