Employment Type: Part-time | 15–20 hours per week

Schedule:

• Monday & Tuesday: 2:30–6:30 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00–7:00 PM
• Thursday or Friday: approximately 3 hours, flexible daytime
• Occasional flexibility appreciated, as needed

Compensation: $35–$40 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (Mileage reimbursement will be provided for work related driving)

With both parents working demanding jobs and traveling regularly, we are looking for a trusted House Manager who can bring calm, consistency, and thoughtful support to our home. The ideal person will help make afternoons feel more organized, keep the household running smoothly, and bring a steady presence to the family's busy routine.

You understand how to read the room: knowing when they need space or a little extra support after a long school day. You bring a steady, engaged presence to the home and are comfortable managing a variety of household responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

Family Support & Child Assistance

• After-school pick up and occasional activity drop off
• Light supervision of afternoon routines: activities, snacks, and homework
• Assist with kid-related errands

Household Management & Organization

• Create and/or Maintain household organization systems
• Daily resets and prep home for biweekly cleaners
• Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
• Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
• Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
• Event/holiday/guest prep
• Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc.

Inventory & Errands

• Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
• Manage running household supply lists
• Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco)
• Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping

Meal Planning & Prep

• Prep-chef assistance: washing, chopping, thawing & marinating proteins
• Prep healthy snacks
• Cook healthy family dinners (as needed)
• Grocery shopping
• Follow dietary needs/preferences
• Kitchen clean-up and maintenance

Laundry & Linen Care

• Wash, fold, and put away laundry, children manage putting their own away
• Special garment care as needed
• Weekly linen rotation: change sheets and towels
• Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked with supplies

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

• Occasional deep cleaning of appliances, baseboards, and storage areas
• Refresh mudroom, entryway, and garage as needed
• Maintain humidifiers and replace filters on a regular schedule
• Support ongoing organizational and decluttering projects

Administrative & Personal Assistance

• Manage shared Google Calendar for household and family schedules
• Coordinate appointments for family members (medical, personal care, activities)
• Receipt and expense tracking for household purchases
• Travel planning support (packing lists, logistics, reservations)

Vehicle Upkeep

• Schedule maintenance
• Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles
• Track registration/insurance

Vendor & Property Oversight

• Oversee cleaners/contractors/landscapers
• Research/coordinate repairs and quotes
• Occasionally manage logistical support for additional property in Vermont
• Seasonal property maintenance
• Manage outdoor spaces
