A per diem Pharmacist opportunity is available in an independent retail pharmacy setting located in Helena, AL. This role offers a flexible schedule working 1 to 2 days per week with weekday day shifts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The environment includes a pharmacy staffed by a single pharmacist supported by 1 to 2 pharmacy technicians and a cashier, handling an average prescription volume of 180 to 200 per day. The pharmacy utilizes Quick Script for order entry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with state laws and pharmacy regulations.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of medications.
• Provide excellent patient counseling and medication therapy management.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a smooth workflow within the pharmacy.
• Utilize Quick Script to process prescriptions efficiently.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld during all pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Pharmacy license required.
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical laws, drug interactions, and patient privacy.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
