A well-established law firm is seeking a tenacious and perceptive Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team and assist with managing a diverse portfolio of workers' compensation defense cases for its Colorado client base.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney who is looking to develop their litigation skills and build a long-term career in workers' compensation defense. The firm is prepared to mentor and train the right candidate.

• Assist with managing a diverse caseload of workers' compensation defense matters

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents

• Assist with case strategy and development

• Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings

• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, claims professionals, and other parties

• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and documentation

• Manage multiple cases and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Maintain accurate and timely billing records

• Develop strong case management skills while working with experienced attorneys

• 1-2 years of litigation experience

• Active Colorado Bar license preferred

• Candidates who are not currently licensed in Colorado but plan to become licensed in Colorado may be considered

• Approximately 1 year of workers' compensation defense or similar litigation experience preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Willingness to learn and develop within a workers' compensation defense practice

• $98,000-$115,000 annual salary, depending on experience
